What to bring with you
The basics are just three things, and you usually have them with you. Below you will also find the special cases, so you do not need a second trip.
The basics
Registration certificate
The original vehicle registration document (άδεια κυκλοφορίας). The test cannot be done without it.
ID, passport or licence
Of the person bringing the vehicle — it does not have to be the owner.
Previous KTEO certificate
If the vehicle has been inspected before, bring the latest inspection certificate.
LPG / CNG certificate
Only for vehicles with an LPG or natural gas system.

Ideally the vehicle should not carry a load during the test.

Note: LPG tanks have an expiry date. If it has passed, the vehicle cannot pass the test.

Coming for a re-inspection
Bring the inspection certificate we gave you, with the defects noted. A re-inspection costs €5.
My test is overdue
You do not need anything extra — just the basic documents. The legal late surcharge is added depending on the delay.
I want a voluntary inspection
Your registration certificate and ID are enough. A voluntary inspection can be done whenever you like, with no deadline.
Someone else is bringing the vehicle
No problem. They just need the vehicle’s registration certificate and their own ID.
